Dawn de chamuel. SENIOR counsellor
Dawn de Chamuel MBACP, Psychotherapist.
Dawn de Chamuel is a therapist whose client group consists solely of those experiencing
Retroactive Jealousy and, on occasion, their partners. Prior to this becoming her specialist field, her career focused on relationships, addiction, bereavement and domestic abuse.
Decades of experience include one-to-one therapy, group facilitation, mediation, and several years as clinical lead to a team of therapists. Now living in Europe, she provides therapy sessions worldwide. She has adopted an eclectic approach to address Retroactive Jealousy and associated issues.
These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Motivational
Interviewing Techniques, delivered in a ‘tailored-to-the-individual’ fashion that sees them
empowered, developing self awareness, emotional regulation, assertiveness, self-efficacy and
confidence. .In short, her clients learn what makes them tick.
The therapeutic journey with Dawn is a combination of coaching and therapy and is peppered with links and helpful information, much of which she has compiled herself as a result of professional experience in this specific field. This is not a "sticking plaster" or passive approach. Dawn means to get you well.
Previous clients report they were able to engage very quickly with Dawn due to a feeling of safety
that her genuine warmth, down-to-earth, nurturing persona and sense of humour bring about.
Dawn chooses not to take on a heavy client caseload, preferring to provide a quality service to a
few and, for this reason, is able to be very flexible in terms of availability.
Dawn is passionate about her work, her clients, and their successful recovery.
She adopts the mantra, ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’ as a reflection of her desire to assist others in overcoming the blocks to living a fulfilling and happy existence.
